We discuss how object oriented programming (OOP) can benefit science and engineering programming. We first review some general aspects of OOP in technical applications and then create a couple of examples of a classes:

We then provide some tables of other useful static methods in the wrapper classes for number/string conversions and for testing for special values in floating point data.
