We developed a set of histograms and other utility classes in this course primarily for educational purposes but they can also be useful for your own analysis work. However, you certainly don't need to develop every Java programming tool yourself. There are lots of class libraries for math, scienee, and other technical areas already developed and many of them are available for free.

The Resources section provides links to various online programs and libraries that support technical program development. In Chapter 12: Physics section we described a number of the math and analysis packages available for physics programming.
